What To Identify With?

A person who identifies with his/her thoughts is a person dwelling in the darkness.
You become what you identify with such is the law.
You become like thoughts that enter you if you embrace them.
They become you and you become them.
Great if such thoughts are positive ones but what if they are dark or even evil? Are you satisfied with the idea that you may become like them?
Thoughts are not you; they are not your True Self.
They are a product of many factors: emotional and physical.
Thoughts are projected onto your mind and deliver information to you, to your, True Self according to their nature.
If you were your thoughts, you could have not view or observe them. But you can. You can dissect and analyze them. You have that power. Only when your awareness is asleep, you are controlled by them. You can and must control any thoughts. That is the correct hierarchy: you over them – not the other way around. 
Whenever you receive a though, make habit of becoming aware of the fact that it is not you but your guest and it has entered your mind. Look at your mind as your house as well as apply the same concept to your physical body. 
Being a wise host, you do not let everybody unknown in your house. You should decide whom to invite and the rules of how the guest may behave in your house. After all, it is your house and your guests are coming to you and not the other way around.
If you would not be on guard, your guests can cause havoc and anarchy and even cause mess or destruction in your house.
Some guests just don’t know how to act, particularly when they start drinking out of control. Do you need that?
Well, your mind and body are not less important than your house.
I would say even more important. You can change a house but changing bodies and mind is not easy to say the least.

Realizing the importance of which thoughts are allowed to remain in your house-mind is like going on a quest for light and rescuing it  frpm the crystal, where it has been entrapped. By realeasing it, you allow that light to shine upon you and the world.

  

Anything that is not real you must be examined and controlled by you. You must be in charge or something else would become in charge of you.
Stop now. Reread the previous paragraph slowly few times.
Take your eyes away from the writing and ask yourself if you truly understand that concept of thought not being you but entering you.
That is crucial to anything else we are going go through.
If you fall behind here, you would become lost regarding my writings.
Everything is based on this monolith of comprehension.
Not thoughts should have power over you, but you should preside over them. You are the king or queen and they are your servants. 
If these servants rule their monarch the latter is overthrown then.
Do you want your inner kingdom to become your inner slavery?
I want you to be free. Don’t you want the same for yourself?
Thoughts are energy waves that penetrate your mind. 
Everything is a form of energy and energies propagate as waves.
Energies can be positive or negative depending on their polarity. Such as the laws of physics. Do not even try to defy such laws. The laws of physics work and can predict behavior under the studied conditions. It is useless going against them.
The knowledge of laws and their operations is awesome power.
Ignorance and errors are awesome weakness. As simple as that.
If positive energies or thoughts enter your mind – great. But if they are negative? Do you see the seriousness of the moment now?
You must not allow the negative, destructive energies enter your mind and make you believe that you are them.
At least, if you can’t help stopping them entering you right away, do not allow them to stay. Do not give them a welcome, food, and wine so to say. Once they realize they are not welcomed, they would leave. They can find plenty of houses where they welcomed. They want the same views and interests as they have or they are bored. 
Stop again. Reread the last paragraph few times.

I know what I am doing. If not awaken by now, you should suddenly clearly realize that, yes, it is so important not to identify with the negative and at times horrible thoughts that enter us.
They are not us, period. They are like cloth that you can put on or refuse to wear. If you get confused thinking that your cloth is your skin… allow your imagination to do the rest.
The key, here, is do not identify with what is not you.
The opposite of identifying would be disassociating and viewing from a distance. That what you should do when it comes to thoughts. Dissociate and observe from a distance as if you watch a documentary movie where you see footage of yourself filmed before.
Notice how you act in that documentary. If you do that objectively
and realize that is you there but it is a documentary movie only and you are sitting here now watching your TV and not in that TV.
It is footage of you projected from the TV in front of you.
If you do that or what I called disassociating or observing from the distance as opposed to identifying with what you see, you would OBJECTIVELY see all the right things and errors you have done there. It is ok for little children to think that whatever they see on the TV is happening in reality and right in that moment. It is not excusable for you to act that way.

If you became confused under the influence of drugs or alcohol, for example, and think that you are actually right inside that TV doing all those things in a moment, you might even try to crawl inside that TV to help “yourself.” Not an easy task.
Sounds funny and outrageous, I know. But that is exactly what you do when your awareness falls asleep and you become confused believing that any thoughts entering you, God knows from where, are you.
Never identify with anything accept the true Source.
Always question things and make sure you understand them, then accept them and not before.

 

I have just given you the key to the salvation of your mind if you didn’t know these concepts before. If did know, more power to you.
Expand on them and help others. A huge percentage of all people on Earth don’t have a clue of this concept. That is why they act on thoughts entering them. Many of those thoughts are negative and even criminal and animalistic in nature. These people commit crimes thinking that they must follow those thoughts and urges. They receive thoughts and urges and then the wave of justifications to what they are about to do.
Not them but thoughts give them those ideas but they don’t know the difference. These people, literally, believe what those rational to them explanations i.e. energies-thoughts bring them.
These people believe these thoughts not suspecting that they could have examined them from a distance as a host can examine who is about to enter his/her house and decide whether to open the doors to such guests or not.
These people open the doors right away thinking it is them there knocking on the door.
They are that confused when awareness is sleeping.
They embrace these, horrible guests-thoughts who whisper them wicked ideas and so often and persistently. These people think it is their self, it is them doing that and since the thoughts-guests always come prepared they always give their presents to the host of the house.
These presents are the JUSTIFICATIONS of thoughts and urges.
Yes, justifications to what a person is told to do. All the wicked thoughts are wrapped into the package of justifications. A host looks at the bright and colorful coverings of these gifts that are so enticing to his/her lower nature and loves them. These gifts-justifications are always enticing. So are so cleverly wrapped and look so good.
Justifications would play tricks with a mind of a person and tell him/her anything that would allow him/her to do the wrong, often horrible thing and even feel right about that.
That what justifications are about. To make wrong seem as right,
to cater to the convenience of a person.
I rarely give examples believing that the readers follow the logic as is since I offer it in a precise and condensed format.
At times, I would still resort to examples when they are helpful to simplify. There I go.
A simple and common scenario. A man sees a gorgeous, so called sexy woman who is so uncovered in important to him places that he becomes overwhelmed by her sexuality. He becomes aroused and is feeling the urges. I believe almost all men would feel a strong attraction. Such thoughts and urges would, then, enter
their mind. Notice they were not trying to create those urges or thought, the latter entered tem provoked by that woman.
Descent men would feel what they feel but would look at themselves from a distance, rationalizing, “Yes, I want her but must not use any force it is not proper. Let me talk to her and would find out where to take from there.” Or may think, “O, Lord, she is hot but I am married or have a girlfriend (depending on the case) and should not even think about it…” etc. etc.
All feel the same but thoughts and urges are examined against certain rules or principles.
Another case. A man feels the same as the above men but doesn’t reflect his urges and incoming thoughts against any observation or principles. No outside comparison and examination is done.
Such man completely emerces into “his” feelings-thoughts.
Follow the logic. He accepts the thoughts, welcomes them and allows them to grow in strength in his inner house.
What happens? Not only the thoughts grow in his mental house, his “basement” start growing in size and strength if you get the picture…
The sexual thoughts become a part of him and thus, manifest themselves physically. This man has no brakes because he is inside of the thoughts-urges but they are, by the law of analogy, get inside of him. He embraces them for he and them become the one.
Are you following me? Only when we separate ourselves from the thoughts, we are separate entities indeed. They are them and we are us: two separate words that briefly came into contact and moved in their, own directions. 
This man fuses with the entering thoughts so the two worlds and energies: the thoughts and him become one united front. The sum of energies is also doubled now. The energy of the thoughts-urges and his energy of the lower, animalistic nature having its own sleeping energy that is now awaken.
The nature and polarity of the incoming tides and his, existing inclinations are the same so they are compatible and unite in one big embrace. Such man has fully accepted the incoming thoughts, has no clue is not them or different and since the thoughts are agreed with because his lower nature agrees and hugs them, he is about to act on them. People act on thoughts when they agree wit them. The agreement must come first. When thoughts are well examined then, by the virtue of right and wrong, people can make a decision what choice they would make then.
If thoughts are not examined against the right and wrong, there no brakes. That is how a rape is manifested. Al rapists go through the same:
A thought-urge is entering them.
No examination of them is done.
The man dwells on the thoughts-urges.
They grow in strength since he embraces them and nurtures them.
The thoughts-urges combine with the man's lower nature and his existing inclinations. The sum is overpowering.
The man has no breaks while the energy inside is growing more and more.
Justifications come to his mind why it is ok for him to gratify himself even by force since no examination against right and wrong is done once again.
Once the force of the combined tides is spilling over, the man goes with that flow and acts on the thoughts-urges-inclinations.

Help such man to realize there is right and wrong and all justifications are false, he would stop.
Help him to learn how to examine the incoming thought-urges
before they grow in strength so that he can look at them from a distance, he would stop.
Explain to him the nature of thoughts and that they don’t even come from him but go through him and he can observe and therefore control them, he would stop.
Awareness always gives the tools for dealing with problems.
Without awareness, we are art the mercy of tides.



Another example. I feel these two examples are important enough to illustrate the concept step by step.
A person who has less money than another one who is considered to be rich by the former, would go through a mental list why he/she having less has the right to steel from the rich one or even not so rich. These lists are offered by thoughts as rationalizations.
They would help the newly forming thief to believe that he/she needs the money more than the one from whom that money would be stolen. Justification may include but not limited to such illogical concepts as the money belong to the thief because he/she says so, or the thief is poor because that money was stolen by the rich person from him/her (while what can you steel from a poor person?) Justifications would uncover such pearls of twisting as there is nothing wrong with steeling – it is a temporal borrowing or this is not steeling at all – this is a class justice and so on. All kinds of lies would come to a thief to be in forms of justifications entering his/her mind because these thoughts cater to his/her inclinations. Alike are attracted by alike. That is how people form companies and friends.
I can prove that easily, regarding alikeness. A person who sincerely wants to do virtuous things and has a desire to help, who has honor and morals, who works hard may also be attacked by the negative thoughts but there is one huge difference. The nature of such person is not compatible with these thoughts. His/her inclinations are different, they are based on morals which become a part of his/her being.
Temptations would always be there to all, but since the nature of entering thoughts is not compatible with the nature of the person, these thoughts and justifications can not be attracted much or remain with the person.
After an encounter, the energy waves of the negative thoughts run into the incompatible amplitude of the waves of virtues the person posses. The opposite waves cancel each other out and do not create a combined, higher crest. Those are the laws of physics.
When the entering thoughts and their waves, amplitudes, and polarities do not match those of the being entered medium (the descent person here) incompatibility would cause the oncoming waves to crush against the existing waves of the person which move in the opposite direction. Totally different natures are clashing. That is like trying to mate a crocodile and a lion.
Even if they meet and both are ready to mate, they just can’t.
They are too incompatible. A lion and tigress can mate since they are so close by their nature. Do you see now? Compatible or incompatible is the key for laws of attraction and repulsion. 
Only substances or waves of compatible nature magnify each other.
That is why about to become a thief welcomes the onrushing waves of justification because his/her nature is compatible with them. His/her inner waves coincide with the incoming onslaught of justifications and both waves embrace each other becoming bigger and rising until they spill out as the manifested, physical action of the person-thief. He/she commits a crime then.
If only the person knew that he or she had the power to examine the entering thoughts-temptations and look at the spiraling out snake like coils of justifications, he or she would have realized it is not him/her but incoming negative energies-thoughts appeal to his/her lower nature and tempt him/her to do the wrong.
That realization may have saved him/her from the crime.



But because he/she has no clue that is his/her self initiating the negative thoughts and tempting him/her to act but other, alien to him/her energies, he/she gives in. Why fight yourself they think?
But it is not hem they are fighting. It is something in them. If they only knew, they would rather have only real them and no alien forces involved. Who wants strangers? People love themselves too much to share their space with any one else.
All people are tempted. not all do the wrong.
Who does resist? Those who are moral, virtuous, who have principles and those whose bright mind allows them to look at themselves from the distance without identifying with the thoughts. Some people have that ability even without many noble qualities.
Yet, only when we examine any thought against not our lower nature but the virtues and higher principles of morality and right and wrong, we can decide whether to allow these thoughts further or ignore them. Any subsequent justifications that would come from these thoughts would also be examined from a distance whether they are true and honest or just are justifications that are played upon our mind by some, negative energies-waves.
Always remember you are the host of your house called body-mind.
Do not let any guest or thought in without being on-guard. You have the right and duty before yourself to examine all guests without exception and check what they bring with themselves. What kind of gifts: good ones or poisons? Virtues or justifications?
Always sound an alarm when justifications are given to you by anyone or come on their own. They are ticking bombs in shiny, beautiful wrappings.
You take them in your house, put them in a nice place and the clock ticking inside would explode them one day or even a not so distant minute. The explosion may be so great that your house-life may be shattered to pieces. Just ask all, those criminals whose dreams were shattered by their inability to see that those entering their mind justifications lied to them. Most feel sorry that believed the lie. They dwelled on those thoughts, let them grew, and finally acted on them. They let them in their mind-house. Now, these lost souls are, themselves, in a new house – prison.
Examine everything now, any thought without exceptions make that a habit, and you would become a king or queen in your kingdom and not a slave.
You need a sword and shield worthy of a king or mighty queen to defend your kingdom when open the doors. You have them already as all humans do. We are all born with them. That magic, omnipowerful sword worthy of the whole army is the sword of virtues. Always compare and examine everything against the virtues as opposed to greed or hate and you would always see the true answers, being able to guard your kingdom even without the help of any army. Your army is within you that is how much power you have if only connect to virtues to receive their power. That is a real and omnipowerful King or Queen who doesn’t even need any other army but has the power him/herself.
That magic sword gives you that power and never fails you.
Anything else may fail but not the sword of virtues.
It is the strongest of them all.

   

It is made of the same substance that the Universe is made of literally. The Universe is manifestations of light in different forms and levels so are the virtues.
Remember alike attracts alike by the law of compatibility and analogy.
By defending yourself with the sword of virtues, you draw on the same power that is most abundant and everywhere around you in the Universe.
Your sword would be constantly drawing that awesome power since its nature and the Universe’ s are the same.
Since you hold and accept that sword, your nature becomes the same by the same analogy. 
If you look at a peaceful and harmonious stream of mountain spring, you would start feeling peaceful and harmonious by absorbing the qualities of what you identify with and are so close to.  Stand next to a nervous, shouting person and you would feel becoming out of tune yourself. Do you se my point?
You, yourself, can’t help but would become a virtuous human being then, once again by the same analogy when accept virtues. What can be more noble and better?
To identify not with some negative energies-thoughts but the Universe itself? Virtues are light. They, also, kindness, love, fairness, warmth, principles, humility, patience, benevolence, wisdom, care and some, other similar qualities of truth and love. 
By accepting virtues as the sword by which you check who is a welcomed guest in your kingdom and who is not, you draw to yourself in your core and essence all these qualities.
You also have a powerful shield – the strongest of them all.
The shield of truth. Only truth can give you the right answers.
Lies can only give you lies. So simple, yet, many people don’t realize such, basic principles of life. Only truth can help and even save you. Lies can not. There is no need to explain that further; it is that simple and basic.
What is your choice to arm yourself with a omnipowerful sword and shield of virtues and truth or to accept darkness, hate, greed, malice, impatience, perversion, desire for blood and suffering?
Well all these qualities and some others from the same swamp are exactly opposite of the virtues. The exact opposite poles indeed. 
No wonder they oppose each other from the eternity.
Which side do you want to join? It is a war between these, two forces and the humans are entangled in between.
Some chose light some darkness but all chose sooner or later and that happens every day. We, all, must make choices regarding others and ourselves and what to do and what inclinations to follow.
This is the reality of life. Right and wrong are in front of us constantly. That is the way of existence for humans.
Make your own choice, embrace one kind of waves or the other: one polarity or the opposite one, light or darkness.
It is your choice, but be aware, no one cares of faulty justifications in this world. Only truth matters and it is always known sooner or later.
No one can fool any one only him/herself and even that for a while only. The cause and effect and the consequences of the choices made would always stare at the human face when time delivers the Effect on its wings.
Your life and where you are now and would wind up later are the answers to all your actions arising from all your choices.
Look at thoughts from a distance without identifying with them. Examine them fairly and against the mirror of Right and Wrong and against The Virtues and you would make the right choice. 
Your consciousness in its moral aspect would help you. Just listen to it.
You can loose many things but never loose consciousness.
You are born with it, no society or laws can take it away.
It is a spark of eternity. The higher consciousness is the key to everything. Only it would help you to make the right choices.
Right choices would lead you to the right direction and purpose and meaning in life. 
What is the meaning of life I was asked many times before?
I can now safely answer it is to be able to listen to the higher consciousness and by the light of it, to make the right choices 
so that can go in the right direction of discovering the true purpose of existence and destiny in that conscious direction.
Refusing the higher consciousness means embracing your, lower, animal nature and accepting the entering thoughts as yourself and acting on them, as even animals don’t.
Your choice what to do. You have the tools and no excuses now.
You have your kingdom and the sword with the shield,
Do not loose them but hold on to them and always. 
They will guide you to the light.
Then all other creatures who love the light would want to visit that kingdom. To them it would be a paradise……
